Do you have to pay extra to use your iPhone abroad in the EU? Like pay for roaming?

JohnLed_1369507 You get to use 12GB for free per month (calendar month, not your billing cycle month) in EU countries. If you have a plan over 12GB and want to use the rest of your data plan, you need an EU Unlimited Data Pass.
Calling and texting with voice plans is free.

Good to know it's a calendar month, we are going to Malta for 3 weeks in September/October, as we have an unlimited UK data plan we should have 24 GB of EU data to use, thanks.
TerryCam_739814 Apologies, it seems I misread the help articles, it's actually 12GB per billing month.
The thing that resets per calendar month (on the 1st of each month) is the £45 (default and can be changed by contacting support) roaming spend limit. You won't need to worry about roaming charges though, as they are about purchasing add-ons.
Hopefully this doesn't change your plans for your data usage too much.
How do you get a EU unlimited data pass?
JohnLed_1369507 It will be in the Add-ons tab in your dashboard; scroll down to EU data pass. It seems the app doesn't show it, and you will need to use the add-on recommendation tool, select 'Use my plan abroad', and type your country.
For clarity, you only need these add-ons if you want to use more than the 12GB they allow you to use for free. It is 1 day for £3 and 3 days for £7. You will not see these add-ons if you do not have a plan over 12GB.
