Data usage when mobile router not in use
Does anyone know if a TP-Link mobile router will use data when switched on but not connected to any devices by wifi? I use a mobile router in my caravan and normally switch it off when I go home, however, I did not do so when I last went home and have noticed that I am using 2.63mb each day. All other devices are switched off. Thank you, Ray.

Your router might be checking for firmware updates, or does your TP-Link device poll for time updates from an Internet time server?
Many broadband routers are configured to do this.

A quick internet check suggests that it should only use a small amount while it is effectively checking its own connection.
