Change of billing date and new plan
I have ordered a new plan to start on the 28th February 2026, but I also want to start a new billing date for the 1st of each month. The only dates I can think of to do this is between 28th Feb 2026 to 1st March 2026 (1 day without smarty service). Can I on the 28th Feb 2026, start a new plan and at the same day, turn off auto renew, then put auto renew back on again the next day for the 1st March 2026 to start a new billing date on the 1st March 2026? Also will I lose my new plan if I put auto renew back on?

I was going to try your method, but I have read some old posts, which suggest that by simply turning off auto renew, will not change my billing date. According to others and Smarty guides, I would have to purchase a new plan, then turn on auto renew, as Smarty billing is linked to when you purchase a new plan. I have read others who have tried it your way and they still get billed their on there original date. Wish me luck, if it doesn't work might leave Smarty as any method used is to complicated just to change a payment date especially in 2026.

Confirmed my previous posting works, billing date changed. So to recap my old billing date was 28th of each month and I wanted a new billing date of 1st of each month. See method below for billing date change:
- Turned off auto renew on 27th Feb 2026 (must do before midnight).
- Will get a text/email from Smarty saying you have turned off auto renew.
- On 1st March 2026, went onto Smarty app, changed to a new plan
- Smarty sent text/email to confirm account changed
- Waited 30 mins, and checked on my Smarty dashboard to confirm change of billing date (now showing 1st March 2026)
- Turned auto renew back on
- Have new billing date, with new plan and this was confirmed by Smarty via text/email and on Smarty dashboard in app
- Yeahh, billing date, has finally changed!

Yoda1 Sounds a bit complicated.
I think the sure-fire way to get your plan billing on the first of each month is to go without service for a day when it finishes on 27th Feb (having turned off auto-renew) and then start the new on on 1st March. Auto-renew on or off should not affect a current plan.
