TinaWall_350584 I think the problem lies somewhere in your Settings on the phone. I say this because your phone should connect to your home wifi even without any sim in it.
I would also check your Account Dashboard to see that the number has been registered there.
Could the issue lie with the update? What operating system is it?
Were you able to send texts when you first used the sim with its randomly allocated original number?
