Can't make calls in Tenerife
I arrived in Tenerife today. My phone is connected to the local network (YOIGO). Although I'm getting my data allowance, messages, etc, I am not able to make any calls either back to the UK or local. I keep getting the message that "calls are not possible from this phone number". I checked all roaming settings and everything looks fine, and even put +44 in front of the numbers but nothing works, so can anyone tell me what the problem is? I need to make urgent calls back to the UK. Thanks.

Michael_2408837 Try turning network selection to manual and then choose another, perhaps Movistar.
I tried Orange and Vodafone. Both initially worked, but always reverted back to YOIGO after a couple of minutes with auto connect switched off. I've had to buy a Lebara sim locally. Not happy at all.
