Cannot make outgoing calls to switchboards
My wife has a smarty sim on my account but cannot make outgoing calls to, what seems, landline numbers such as our doctors switchboard. She can make outgoing calls to normal landline numbers such as a home phone number etc. She can also successfully call other mobile phone numbers. The issue seems isolated to company numbers.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before? She has an iPhone 16 Pro Max, as do I, and I have no problem making any outgoing calls to any type of numbers.

Thanks for the suggestion. Both from contacts and from keypad.
However, your suggestion did make me wonder whether country code, or not, is causing the issue. She added UK country code ode to her saved Doctor’s number in her address book and it appeared to work. So maybe a lack of country code is the problem. The mystery continues but a potential resolutionNathanHy_507323 A result then!!! It is indeed very odd though.

NathanHy_507323 Is she dialing them from her Contacts? If so, it may be worth deleting the number, dialling afresh and then re-storing as a contact.
NathanHy_507323 I have experienced this before and it has also been raised a number of times.
For what it's worth, I think it is down to the call going from your mobile signal into the landline signal and then out to that organisation's internet based service - too many hops?
I have found that dialing again a little later has always worked.
I have also noted that it doesn't seem to be happening as much as it did a while ago.......have I just jinxed it?!?!
