**bleep** is going on with these new plans?

I dont get enough data each month. I obvs need to use a phone but make maybe 3 regular phone calls a week and a couple of regular texts, the rest is whatsapp and internet. My plan is called "30GB".  I detest jargon in any industry and haven't a clue what this means.

I have tried to discover what that a 30GB plan means and my only conclusion is i get 30GB of phone calls and 8GB of data. I am not sure how many phone calls 30gb equates to. I tried to look at changing my plan...it looks like i can get 40GB of data and unlimited calls and texts, but when i press buy now it takes me back to my dashboard. I am not even sure that is what the offer is..but 40GB and unlimited phone calls makes more sense to me.

There is a terrible list of plans but half of the plans on the list say they are no longer available - in which case why mention them??

Can someone explain in english how can i get enough data that i am not scared to watch a youtube video on the way to work each morning for fear of not being able to send a whatsapp text later in the day.

what does a couple of quid extra a month get me? i dont even know what i get at the moment: its called 30GB but the sub heading says 8GB of data

yours, infuriated with technology and irrelevant jargon

Thanks for helping out - so my 30GB plan with 8GB of data is actually 30GB of data?

Tbh I seem to remember accepting a "special" offer that upgraded my data allowance, however I wouldn't swear to it as I might have done this on a different phone.

CC Your calls and texts do not use data. Internet use , emails, WhatsApp calls, video and music streaming and updates all use data.

You cannot buy a plan until the end of the current one, but you can buy a data add-on - see Price guide p14.

If you turn off auto renew in your account, then you can buy a different plan next time and reset the auto renew if that one is good for you.

I would suggest an internet search to see roughly how much data is used by each activity. If you are on wifi at home or somewhere else, this will not use your mobile data
