Bank OTP Not Arriving
Anybody solve this problem.
My OTP code is not coming through. Checked all the usual things, blocked list,signal,sim removal etc.
The bank says the usual thing, all working our end must be your mobile provider.
Just to add all my other banking apps have sent OTP through and have arrived.
Any help?
Other people on other networks have had the problem.

See my earlier post. You need to get Smarty to change. ‘My Number’ under Device in Settings. It will probably show your temporary number.. Smarty advises you to change it yourself, but the system does not allow this . In my face, it took about 48 hours and then all my OTP requests were answered in one go. In my case, it was from three different institutions. None of these had worked.

YES SOLVED but Smarty didn’t seem to want to know!!! CAUSE: smarty allocate a temporary number during changeover. They port your old number after a day or two and All seems to be well with phone calls and messages received and sent.. HOWEVER they enter the temporary number under ‘my number’ in settings. It appears that banks in the like use this number.for OTP in 2FA. The user cannot change this number despite Smarty giving advice that it should be changed. You have to contact Smarty several times to get them to change it. In my case they never acknowledge this but after two days at about 8 pm, it was changed and I received a backlog of that 20 OTP’s that I had requested of the previous 48 hours.
So look in your settings see what number appears and if it’s a temporary number, get Smarty to change it. Good luck.- AlfredM_3735016SMARTY Maverick09-01-2026

CHRISTIA_435669 Have you checked out what Señor Google has to say on this? There seems to be a lot of info - some of it points to a network reset.

I have done everything I could find online. What's a network reset? All other banking apps OTPs work.

CHRISTIA_435669 Also very strange that you have no trouble with other banks/ May be worth a web chat with Smarty Support to see if this is a common issue with that bank.
