App updates!
Does anyone else have to login to the app again every time the app is updated? I know it only takes a few extra seconds, but then the email comes through warning that someone has logged in from a new device (even though it’s still the same device). I’m starting to resent those extra few seconds and have even considered not updating the app

If you haven't already done so, protect your device with a screen lock or other security measure. The app will detect your security and will not demand a mandatory login as often.

Which bit, logging in again after updating the app (none of my financial apps demand that), or the email warning me that someone has just logged in - which I wouldn’t get if I didn’t have to login because I updated the app?

Michael_1932266 Whether or not we like it, it's the method that Smarty has chosen for security for some reason. Even using FaceID, it still happens and yes, banking apps don't necessarily require it.
