Group Plans + Bonus SIM Card
Hi All, new customer here. I got a Bonus SIM in with my new SIM so thought I would get my Daughter a contract. Disappointing too see that the new offers are only available to new customers, but I digress. So I am all set up, I click on the Group Plan button and then click I HAVE A BONUS SIM. I'm then told to activate the bonus card.....which I cannot do as I would need to create a whole new account for my 14 year old Daughter. So I try activating it on my name....which then wants to send me a brand new SIM, even though I have a "BONUS" one in front of me. So I cannot activate a BONUS sim to an old account?, despite what the instructions say on the screen, the only way is to order a new SIM card?, seems like a pointless expense.....why can I not just use the BONUS SIM that is sat in front of me?. Has anyone else come across a solution before I order yet another SIM and burn up the planets resources unnecessarily?. Many thanks, Rich19KViews16likes19CommentsAppalling experience with Smarty
I have a group plan, been paying my lads SIM for months, he has never once received mobile data. Only today did my daughters SIM register. Again no mobile data despite being paid. That's four Sims being paid for with only two working, and another was supposed to be getting added. To add insult I was trying to remove my own account restrictions where they demand a refundable £1 payment. Four attempts where my bank states authorised, payment is taken, Smarty says it didn't work, try a different card, again authorised, payment taken, but app claims it didn't work. Despite all accounts showing Smarty took the funds. Why the hell does the adult who opens an account that requires verification and a direct debit have to then pay to verify and unlock their own content restrictions on an account that requires me to be over 18.5.8KViews2likes5CommentsGroup (of 2) plan. Can I close the group owner account but keep the group member account open?
Because I can't see a way of doing it. I can't remove the group member account from the group, apparently, because it's a nickname SIM. I can't close the group owner account because I'm not switching to another provider. Am I missing something? Going forward, all I want is just want one standalone account with one of my existing numbers.Solved11KViews1like15CommentsFamily Plan vs New Deal
Not sure if the community can help, but here goes. To add an unlimited SIM for my wife to my family plan will cost £18, but we can get it for £16 if we buy a plan via Compare The Market. Will this account have to be managed separately, or will it be possible to add her to the family plan once she's up and running so I can manage all three SIMs in one place? Presumably she can change to a cheaper plan once she works out what her actual data requirements are? And a second question. Everyone else on my family plan can get double data (2x40GB for £9 with 10% plan discount) but I only get 40GB. Why do they all get double data but not me - I feel ripped off?1.1KViews1like1Commentchanging number on group plan
Following the help sheet for group owner to change on of the groups numbers as below. If you're a Group Owner, you'll need to log in to your dashboard, and select: Menu > Account settings > Your number. It does not display like the help text and I cannot select any other group member.3.8KViews1like3CommentsMoving my wife from Three to Smarty
Hi, currently have a SMARTY SIM for my daughter and I am looking to move my wife from Three. I noted there is a Winter offer of 15GB for £7 which will be ideal for her. But if I try to do it via a Group it seems I get either 8 GB for £ 6.30 (10% off as a group member) or 16 GB for £7.20. Will it be better for me to order the new SIM in the 15GB for £7 plan and then join my group to get 10% discount or will that not work? Also can she move from Three to SMARTY with a Three PAC Code? Thanks1.5KViews1like1Comment
