I would love to know the reason for this limitation as I do not know of any other messaging system in the world randomly deletes outgoing personal messages. LNZXT_1242 @I am facing the same problem, I made a complaint about this and they told me "it was by design" but they couldn't tell me how deleting a personal greeting on a regular basis would be a good thing to build into a voicemail system all they could say was if I wanted to leave and go to another network they would assist me. Frustrating for me too as when I am on holiday I set an extended absence greeting which tells callers I am away and prevents them from leaving a message, the last holiday I went on I found people leaving messages, I soon realised my personal greeting had been deleted. Ever since you introduced the new voicemail system last year, I have noticed my personally recorded greetings keep getting wiped after a couple of months and I have to record the greeting. This has become very frustrating especially when I record an extended absence greeting when I a, on holiday and stop callers from leaving messages and then find that it’s turned itself off and reset all my personal greetings back to the smarty default message. I have spoken to someone on the message system but they were under the impression that the new voicemail system did not have the option to record a person greeting, even though I explained its option 3 on the voicemail menu but they still insisted that the default smarty message was the only option. More training needed here I think. I notice another user has posted the same issue here in the community but smarty just asked them to contact smarty directly, but the user never posted any more replies so not sure if they got it sorted. Is anyone else having this problem? And Smarty why does this keep happening? The online Chat are just saying that "I can raise a ticket and check if the custom voicemail can be kept, but there's no assurance that it can be fixed, as we have changed the voicemail system where a default message is set. " Which is confusing because the voicemail system allows you to set a Personal Greeting or Unanswered Calls or Calls When I am Busy or Out Of Hours Calls or Extended Absence Greeting. Come on Smarty this is not on, especially when I go on holiday and set an Extended absence greeting and end up getting loads of people calling me and not getting the message that I am away.3.4KViews0likes2Comments
