Hi everyone,
I am at my wits end - my partner and I recently switched to SMARTY and chose to keep our old numbers. We have had notification that the port was successful and our old numbers have transferred however within โPhoneโ in iPhone settings our number is still showing as the temporary number provided by SMARTY. This is similar in FaceTime and iMessage and our current number (original number we kept) has disappeared.
I have read numerous threads and tried the following but am now at a loss of what else to try:
- Turning off iMessage and FaceTime and doing a network reset, waiting and restarting the phone.
- Trying to change the number in โPhoneโ
Any help massively appreciated ๐๐ป๐๐ป

@Florenc_2964068 @You donโt say why you havenโt been able to change the number manually in phone settings.

Hi,
When I go to change the number, it does not allow me to save it. I note on other threads, other iPhone users have had the same issue.

@Florenc_2964068 Cannot think of anything else to suggest here. Have you tried Apple help?

@PAULADI_3120966 If you research this, you will see that a Network Reset in phone settings often corrects this. The phone 'remembers' the original sim number.

@Anthony_3204026 Hooray! Glad it worked.
Good to see a happy post instead of so many grumbles!
