Google problem
I have activated my sim and after a couple of days have found a full screen message on two occasions appearing to be from Google. I then have to deactivate the sim and replace it. Having gone through the preceding moves, I can use the phone and the message has gone. Has anybody else had this problem?

Perhaps some malware has found its way onto your device Pauline_2305318.
If you've got online banking, your bank might offer a free subscription to something like Malwarebytes.
