I get my broadband and landline through BT. The perform some support functions via text but when I answer, I get the message "couldn't send your message, please try again" the number I am texting is 61988.
I bought an add-on in case it was not covered in my scheme but this has made no difference. I moved to Smarty from Giffgaff where it worked fine.

@Anthony_2775790 The number you are trying to send to is what is known as a 'short code' number.
Unfortunately, Smarty do not support that system and so you cannot send the message. An add on won't make any difference in this case. It is a subject that has been mentioned many times on smarty's pages, but there is no indication of them moving to support the system at present.
