Hi, I was a customer on smarty for a good while but left saving pennies to go elsehwere to come back to find the place I am now living had terrible 3 network connection. Everywhere else around me was rapid except here. That was 3.5 years ago.
After being on 36mbps connection that was doing everything I wanted (except massive downloads, fast ie games 100+GB) and pretty much perfectly, I realised I could probably get a MIFI type solution for the same or cheaper.
I have done just that, in that I am using a samsung 5g with a damaged screen for a mifi tethered to my win pc (even that has been great but fun and games to try and get even higher speeds) and achieving over 300mbps for the last 3 or so months and low and behold on the smarty (3) nework since they showed there has finally been another mast put up.
Tonight while watching the snooker, the singal went dire. That is fine, my first outage in this time. But I wondered how often and how stable this solution is gonna be in future. I realise that is very hard to know so wanna base the answer on how it has been for everyone else.
What do you know ?
The reality for me is I am glad for a good service but mone is tight. I understand 99% uptime ideas. I suffer with mental health issues and can't be wasting my time raising my blood pressure if it is constantly gonna play up. I'd rather just move to a working solution.
I long for the day when they release one connectivity solution that can be piggy backed. 1 per person and a discount for added family members. That one connection works on phones laptops pcs the fridge etc. You will no longer need a broadband connection and a mobile connection with a tablet and a third sim and the wardrobe tethered via an old sock.
Have a wonderful evening.
PS - by the time I wrote this, all seems back to normal.
