eSims at the moment are more of a gimmick, with mostly the higher-end devices supporting them. Smarty, as a relative budget cell provider is definitely not interested in adding gimmicks to the network, it would probably end up raising the prices of the existing plans to phase this in when there strictly isn't a need for them. I suspect they are already on extremely thin profit margins considering the pricing of other providers.
You have to pick your battles in business, you're either an all-thrills provider, or focus on being the cheapest. Smarty is most likely the latter. I just wish the team was more transparent in regards to this instead of letting these suggestions quietly fade into obscurity, at this point I'm not even sure what is the point of this section.
Definitely not complaining however, I am getting data speeds that rival the biggest UK networks at a fraction of the price, for that I'll take a barebones network anyday,
