Voicemail Notifications

Hi everybody

I've just signed up to Smarty and as usual there are a few tweaks one needs to do to get everything running as you'd like.

I'm getting there but I'm having a problem with the Voicemail.

The voicemail is all set up and is working fine but every time I boot up my phone I get a notification "Call voicemail..."etc and there's a badge against the phone icon, signifying a new call.

But there is no new call and there is no message on my Voicemail.

Deleting the popup notification deleted the badge on the phone app so they are definitely linked, one is causing the other.

Its an Android phone (Xiaomi M11 Lite) and Googling suggested deleting phone app data which I've done with no effect

Ive obviously tried turning off notifications and that didn't help.

I never had this issue with my previous network

Any thoughts guys?

    Hi

    I am having the same problem. Ended up speaking to an advisor who said that the Tech team need to look into this, still waiting for a response. Tried various online hacks non of which have worked. As soon as I hear back can let you know.

      Thanks for the update. Im glad it isn't just me. I don't suppose it will happen any time soon but you never know.....

        Same problem here and the tech people don’t know how to sort it. I have an iPhone so it’s not just an android issue. It occurred when I carried my old phone number over so not sure if it has something to do with that . If anyone figures it out I’d be grateful to know.

    Same issue for me, apparently I have 30 voicemails, but when I call the number it says there are 0 voicemails. I didn't carry over any voicemails from my previous provider, and in fact didn't even have voicemail enabled with them. I've been with SMARTY for around 6 months and this has only just started happening for me. Did anyone ever get any solution to this problem?

      I am having exactly the same problem on my iphone13 pro and I ported a number in from o2 with no saved VM, has anyone had an update yet?

    Exactly same here.. iPhone 13 Pro.. have been onto apple support today and defo a smarty issue but they have said there’s nothing they can do.. so frustrating.

      StephHo_3340420 This is an unusual problem because not all of us with iPhones are getting this issue.

      Is iOS updated?

        yes.. Apple have remotely looked at my phone.. if I move sim to a different phone the badge goes off my phone and moves with the sim.. I have requested a new sim from Smarty as they have turned my mailbox off and on again but still not fixed. They are unable to help any further.

    So my new /replacement sim arrived today and the red voicemail badge has finally gone! I’ve been without a phone for 3 days though as I’ve they request a new sim the old one deactivates instantly. BUT at least it’s sorted. Worth a try for anyone else still having trouble as support had given up and said “there’s nothing we can do”

    Same thing here, phone rings then goes to voicemail and they leave a message. I get notified of new voicemail but when I go to my voicemail box it tells me there are no new messages. I know that people have left messages but somewhere in the system they are not getting through to me. I spent ages with SMARTY online contact who ended up saying that they can’t help me! Does anyone know a way around this? Thanks
