Travelling to Italy
Do I need to buy a extra bundle to go to Italy for a week or will I just be charged extra at the time?

You will see that, as Italy is in the EU, then you can use your Smarty plan as if you were at home. (The exception is that you can only roam with up to 12Gb unless you buy a roaming data pass).
