Significant delay in voice calling - both on wifi and without.
I have very good WiFi Calling on my iPhone 13 PhilRig.
I'm running iOS 16.7.1 - what iOS is running on your iPhone 12?
I’m on 17.0.3 so bang up to date. I’ve tried resetting everything and clearing cache etc so hopefully that will help.
PhilRig Any chance that you could try the sim in another phone to see if it is replicated? This would rule out a problem with the handset.
I’ve been using Smarty for over a year and have the same issue. I’ve contacted customer services and they’re aware of the problem. They suggested I was free to switch to an alternative network as they don’t have a solution for this problem.
As reported by another customer in this thread, the issue only seems to occur when calling landline numbers, especially call centres. The call is fine initially but then as you get passed to other teams they quality degrades and there’s a delay of 20 seconds or more.
This doesn’t seem to happen when calling mobile numbers. Smarty need to escalate this to the 3 network and have it fixed! Until then they shouldn’t be charging full price for a sub standard service!
