Out of plan add on roaming set up
Silly question... I've purchased an out of plan add on for data and calls for use out side the EU. Do I need to turn data roaming on while out side the EU or leave it turned off to access the add on plan?

Charles_1317619 You will need it turned ON as you WILL be roaming - albeit that you need to pay for it.
If you are somewhere that Price Guide tells you will cost a lot for service, may be worth considering an eSim if your phone can accept it. This is a virtual sim through a provider and will allow you to use data while roaming - calls can be via WhatApp or similar. (Some sims will also sell you voice minutes and texts)

Turn data roaming ON. whenever you are outside the UK, whether that’s in the EU or outside the EU.
If you don’t, your phone won’t connect outside the UK
