MMS not sending gif!

Can we please clarify something?
On the support pages,

the max MMS size limit seems to be quoted as 307200 - I take that to be 300Kb.
Is it 500Kb?
That appears to be 3Mb I am also having issues sending an image through mms but st moment none is responding. I looked on the forum help and it said 3Mb is the max for mms
EthanielUK 1kb is 1000b (approximately) whereas 1mb is 1000000b so 300kb is 0.3mb
Would you have any ideas why I cant send a 1.2MB file using samsung messages but using google messages I can. I am obviously missing something here cheers
