Help with new 4g router.

I purchased a cheap 4G router on ebay, a ZTE MF286D 4G/LTE which may possibly still be locked to Three network. I assumed this wasn't a problem if using Smarty.

I haven't been able to get it working yet, it just says the SIM is invalid. Is there a clever person who can tell me what I should do?
