Group member set up problem even after contacting support
Hi I have had a Smarty sim for quite a while and after discussions with the better half suggested she move to Smarty under their group plans. I had an initial problem as to join a new member to my group I had to select a plan for me and a plan for her on the group plan discount page. I had an old existing plan so that would not work as I thought. Contacted support and they managed to add my wife to my new group, set up her plan which I have paid for in advance and dispatch a new sim card to her email address.
Have you fallen asleep yet?
My problem is I cant activate her sim as if I look under my group owner account I can see her account but it says Awaiting Number. I have had the Sim now for 2 days and even with supports initial help it still cant seem to follow any procedure I have seen. Last night after a long chat session the support person said they had passed it on to another department.
Has any one had a similar problem and a way around it or is it in the Hands of Smarty?
Sorry about the length of post but facts can be helpful. Thank you.

Final note! The system seems today for reasons unknown to be sorted and old number has been ported successfully too. Thanks for the assistance.

Electron You are most welcome!
Unfortunately, you got yourself in a bit of a 'spin' but at least you have not been 'negatively charged'. I'm sure that you've got your 'energy' back now but will put any further deals under the 'microscope' in future!
(I could probably go on punning for a long time....and often do... but I'll save you from that!)

A short update, well this morning my Wife received an email with the 'Activate your Sim' panel I identical to the one I had been trying. I ran through the same responses to input and it seemed to work. I have now been allocated a Smarty number and have carried out PAC input to transfer old number and await the update. No idea why it worked today but not previously, I suspect some one in the relevant department found an error/problem and carried out a reset.
But so far so good!

Thanks again yes that was my first problem as have quite an old plan that was a special offer. I did not want to change it so did a second 'application' under the group plan for my wife. It is activating her new sim that is the problem. Hopefully the Support Team will understand where I am going wrong or the system is incorrect. Unfortunately they dont work weekends unlike the chat lines.

As Smarty offer a 10% to each group member on setting up the group,I was under the impression that I had to go through this way to obtain the discount. It seems from what you are saying that that was not the case! I actually do thank you for at least telling me about that as I personally can not believe the hassle I am having to get this working. I thought Smarty was the way for her to go but am starting to wish I had never started! That you again.

Electron I know that you are not going to thank me for telling you an easier method now...sorry!!
Should you ever do it again, probably better to let the person set up their own sim and port in their own number. You then invite them into your group and they accept the invitation.
