E-Sim
Hi,
I want to get a new phone but as I have 2 numbers with Smarty I would need an e-sim and Smarty don't do them, yet.
Three now support e-sim so will Smarty be doing the same? When?
Thanks

Unfortunately, as forum members, we would not have that information because we don't generally work for Smarty.
I believe Three UK's eSIM stuff was just a small scale trial scheme.
Apparently if you were part of the original trial, you can still use an eSIM on Three.
If not, then it seems to be a question of waiting (patiently), or switching to a network that offers eSIM now.
I see Three still advertise the esim but it looks like I'll be moving to vodaphone with this number. Shame really.
I have an Asus Zenfone 9, which has two physical sim slots, but no esim capability.
I agree though that esim is the way forward, and has been adopted well by networks throughout the world, including for pay as you go customers, whereas here in the UK, you can only get an esim if you have a pay monthly contract, with the notable exception of Lycamobile.
FWIW, I think by 2025, esims will be mainstream, and available to all.
