UKTechVA That’ll probably be it then. A speed test works by seeing how much data it can download in a set period of time. The faster the connection, the more data it’s going to use each time you run a speed test. You can easily use hundreds of MB with just one speed test if your connection is fast.
If you’re wondering why you never saw data usage like that on O2, it’s because O2 has the slowest overall data speeds of any UK network, and would generally struggle to outpace a mobility scooter.
