Cheap Android phone with 5G and GooglePay
I'm looking for a budget Android phone, just as a backup phone, that works with 5G on Smarty and supports GooglePay (maybe they all do?).
Any suggestions or preferences?

Just had a look through Amazon's offerings.
It looks like the terms "5G" and "budget" are not often seen together. Couldn't see anything much under about £330.
Yeah Brookhouse like MSF says there - 5G and budget are really rare, even with Android devices. If it is purely a backup then I would encourage you to have a look at some of the refurbished devices you can get nowadays, a lot of providers still offer a decent warranty with them and there is usually a chunk of the cost of the device.
What about the Honor 8X 5G, which I've subsequently found? It's £199.99. Any thoughts?
It's on the list of 5G phones that work with Smarty, but seems to have an older version of the operating system, and perhaps a bespoke version?
Have a look at the Google Pixel 6a.
This is a 5G handset, and should last you for 4-5 years.
