Can't send texts and not conencting to my wifi

I have recently transferred my new number to Smarty having been a longstanding customer previously.  The switchover email confirmation was received today.  However my phone prompted me to do an update but I still can't send any texts and it will no longer connect to my home wifi. I have already topped up my credit/plan on this phone.  Any advice what I can do?

    TinaWall_350584​ I think the problem lies somewhere in your Settings on the phone. I say this because your phone should connect to your home wifi even without any sim in it.

    I would also check your Account Dashboard to see that the number has been registered there.

    Could the issue lie with the update? What operating system is it?

    Were you able to send texts when you first used the sim with its randomly allocated original number?
