[Open Discussion] How do you control content on your child's device?
I’ve been looking into the best way to make devices around the house (Phones & Tablets) safe for my child to use. E.g., Blocking explicit content. I thought I’d share these step-by-step on how to do it, in case anyone found themselves in a similar spot. Block Content on iPhones & iPads Blocking explicit content (Music, Videos, Apps): Go to Settings and tap Screen Time. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions, then tap Content Restrictions. Choose the settings you want for each feature or setting under Allowed Store Content. Blocking explicit websites: Go to Settings and tap Screen Time. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions and enter your Screen Time passcode. Tap Content Restrictions, then tap Web Content. Choose Unrestricted Access, Limit Adult Websites or Allowed Websites. How to block explicit websites on Android (Google Chrome Web Browser) On your Android phone or tablet, open chrome Tap the three dots symbol and select settings Look for Safe Search, then tap it Turn the Explicit results filter on. If anyone else has some tips on other ways to child-proof phones & tablets, I’d appreciate some pointers. Have a great day! Why is it that every time I access the website and/or app (Android Galaxy S23 Ultra) I am constantly nagged to enter a verification code (sent via email or text). This is especially annoying when using the phone app as it explicity it asks if I "trust this device". Why not just add biometric (fingerprint/face id) support and be done with it? Does anyone else have this issue?Solved4.8KViews1like7Comments
