Re: VoLTE and 3G switch off - Oppo4
Thanks Decembersangel, my handset, a Reno4, isn’t on the Smarty list (that’s a Reno2), and all the tech people agree it should be working..! I think I’ve actually worn Google out, and it’s no longer my friend 🤣 Having very long chats with techies from both Smarty and Oppo - the Oppo tech suspected there was a problem with the Smarty 4G signal . Smarty and Three are now both showing a problem with services in my postcode, and assure me that my phone will work again once they’ve sorted it. Thanks for your replies…2.6KViews1like2CommentsRe: public service announcement- 3G switch off
Hi Decembersangel.... My phone has just stopped making or receiving calls as the 3G was turned off. It is VoLTE enabled, and connects fine using a Three SIM card. I am desperately searching the internet for a solution, and meanwhile losing many calls. I have numerous answerphone messages I cannot access. Very frustrating, and it would have been nice to receive some prior notice... Decembersangel wrote: Hi lukefow_2236187 👋 You are correct in that 'non 4G' phones will no longer work now that 3G is being turned off. Saying that, some 4G/VoLTE enabled phones will still not work if they don't have the necessary software to enable this function. All I can say is that owners of phones that have the capability to connect to the VoLTE network, but can't use it, is to do the research as to why their handset can't connect. The internet is their friend for answers to the problem! Only 3 networks now support 2G and they are EE, Vodafone and O2.2.3KViews0likes0CommentsVoLTE and 3G switch off - Oppo4
Hi all, I have an Oppo Reno4 Z 5G. (CPH2065). No problem until 3G was recently switched off at my home address. Now I cannot make or receive phone calls on Smarty. My phone does not show any option in settings to select VoLTE, or LTE. However, I can select 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G (auto). My SIM card works fine from this location if I use a different device (Samsung Galaxy). My phone works fine if I use a Three SIM card. Oppo suggest this is a network provider configuration problem. Smarty tech suggest this is an Oppo problem. Any ideas or known solutions? Thanks...2.7KViews0likes4Comments
