Plan for the temperature of where you're visiting, and anticipate what the locals arr doing. Obviously, the temperature changes during the year, but a lot of natives round the Mediterranean Sea disappear to colder climes when it's the peak of summer and it gets too hot where they normally live - just at the peak of tourist season! Look at the weather (especially the temperature) well in advance, pack appropriately, know what to do in an emergency, be aware of any potential changes while you're away (no-one likes to be in short clothes when it's teeming down - and most importantly, enjoy yourself responsibly!
