If going somewhere warm, always pack swimwear and a pair of shorts in your hand luggage. After an airline losing my bag for 5 days on a 9 day trip to Mauritius in October I learnt the hard way, when I only had a jumper and thick leggings to wear in 35oc heat. And everyone knows planes with air con on are too cold to be wearing shorts on.
