Transfer ownership

Hi, I have an O2 sim on a monthly contract that my son uses for his phone. I want to get the number transferred into his name as well as switching to smarty. Can we set up an account in his name with smarty and port the number into the new account? Will it then 'belong' to him as in its linked to an account in his name?

    TracyCo_1028201​ If he is over 16, then he can hold his own account. He can get a Smarty sim, activate it, then ask O2 for a PAC code to transfer his number across to Smarty. HOWEVER, check when his contract ends otherwise he will still be liable for the charges up to its end.

    If he is under 16, you would need to start a 'nickname' sim within your own account. You could still port the number across from O2, but control of the account would rest with you.
