Hi I’ve recently joined and requested an e-sim and have got my mobile number ported. All was successful and I also got a SIM card in the post. I did put the SIM card into my phone and since then no one can call me using my number it says it can’t be connected. Is it because I applied for an e-sim?

I have checked the mobile settings. I have set this up for my son so the mobile is not with me. The settings states personal and secondary and no longer has primary on there? Should I take the physical sim out as I applied for an e-sim originally?
KwokLo_4078151 What does your Account Dashboard say when you log in?
Have you also checked the Settings on your phone to see if it is recognising two sims and then ensure that the Esim is the priority one?
It’s was recognising two Sims until we put the physical one in there and now it just recognises the secondary so should we take the physical SIM out and I assume this should fix it as I did originally apply for an e-sim?
KwokLo_4078151 I cannot see any harm in taking out the physical sim and then hopefully the esim will be the primary and only sim. You could also simply disable the physical sim in the Settings first to check that all is good.
Although I do not profess to be an expert, iff you think about it, the physical sim probably is no good because it has been converted into an Esim and I guess that the network no longer recognises it.
