Sim to work while in on holiday
I need my sim to work while away I have tried to do it but I don't have a clue

Useful information from MSF
In addition, what you must do is change the APN within your phone to ‘mob.asm.net’
There are instructions on how to do this for both Android and iPhone pinned at the top of the “FAQ” section of this forum.
Once you have made this change, you can leave it, as your phone will work fine when back in the UK.
As MSF said, you can use up to 12 GB of data in the EU. If your plan has less than 12 GB of data, you can buy various add ons, which do not expire, and also have the option to transfer any monetary balance left to your account balance, enabling you to use it to pay for future months of your Smarty plan.

While away - is this within the EU? If so, your sim will work if you have the right settings in your phone. You can use calls/texts/data up to 12Gb while roaming in EU countries.
