Are you able to check the APN settings of the Huawei unit and ensure it is set to `mob.asm.net`?
Sometimes MiFi units will not pick up settings straight away like your mobile phone does. This is the APN you'll need to have to connect to Smarty, and I believe the only thing you should need to get connected.

You might want to search the model number of your Huawei unit to see instructions on how to do this.
