SIM card not connected ring whilst in France and I have changed the apn. Very frustrating

Do you have to change the APN back once you return to the UK?
Matthew_1262773 Just to confirm what JJP2 says - no, you do not need to do anything when you return and also you will not need to do anything if you Roma in the future with the same phone. It's a one-off process.

No, you can leave it as “mob.asm.net” in the UK and your phone will work fine

Thank you for your help. I tried information I received directly from Smarty but it did not work but your suggestion to put in a phone did the trick. I then inserted card back in wifi router and we now have wifi abroad ! Thank you.

AliceFin_432121 Forgot to say......have you tried manually selecting one of the networks that show, rather than letting the phone auto-select?
