How to activate a data-only payg SIM

There are PAYG SIMs out there, I found this site here listing all of them: Pay As You Go SIM & Credit Expiry: Minimum Usage Requirements. Do check the rates and any other information on the network's website, as the article is 2 years old and things may have changed.

Perhaps SMARTY could try to do traditional PAYG that you auto-switch to if you don't auto-renew your rolling monthly plan, and uses your account balance. Some networks like GiffGaff work like this.

SMARTY somewhat have a PAYG option where you pay per minute and text if you have a Data-only plan (10p per minute and text and 40p per MMS text), but no way of not paying for a monthly data plan and only using the PAYG calls and texts. You can always suggest it in the Ideas​ board.

Hi PaulWat_1753894​ all of our SIMs are monthly rolling contracts. You pay for the month upfront and then get a months worth of usage. It's up to you whether you keep auto-renew toggled on or off. You're not tied into using the plan beyond one month at a time!
