Data only sim roaming limits Ireland

Hello all,

I have an unlimited data only sim in a mifi unit. I’m about to travel to Ireland. I’ve found information on site that specific to Ireland amongst EU countries the 12 gb roaming limit does not apply  and full monthly data is available to use due to the Irish border with Northern Ireland and the likelihood of signals flipping back and forth.

However this information refers only to calls/data sims. I cannot find any information either way for data only sims. Can anyone enlighten me? Do I have full use of unlimited data with my data only sim whilst travelling in Ireland in the same way that  I would with calls/data sim?

Thanks for any help

Wol

Wol  All sims are equal so shouldn’t make any difference.

(Sounds like a quote from Animal Farm doesn’t it?)

    Hey Wol,

Our roaming policy is the same for all of our plans, you will be able to use up to 12GB for free in any EU country.

      Hi Rebekah,

The 12gb allowance limit doesn’t apply to Ireland according to the below quote but doesn’t specifically mention data only sims hence my question. I have an unlimited data only sim so does the below quote mean I too am not restricted to 12gb of data in Ireland?

      • If your plan includes calls and texts, they work just like home. They’re unlimited with no extra fees.
      • Subject to our fair use policy, you can use your full monthly data allowance* when visiting Ireland. If you need more data, you can buy a data add-on.
      • *This is to prevent customers being charged inadvertent roaming charges on the border.
