Call Forwarding
I am currently hitting the same issue - the MMI codes as documented here on the Smarty site all either never respond or I get the same error, and when trying to even view the existing settings (through the Android Phone app, Settings, Calling accounts, Smarty, Call forwarding - at least on my Pixel 4q) I get the "Reading settings..." display for a variable amount of time followed by "Call settings error, Network or SIM card error."
I know that the GUI-menu path used to at least work for viewing current settings yesterday, as I could see the usual three defaults (busy, unanswered, unreachable) pointing to the usual Smarty voicemail number.
I have tried turning off wifi calling, disabling the Roamless eSim that I have loaded, and restarting after doing those, and the issues persist. My best guess is a temporary problem or some sort of system maintenance works are currently going on - I will try again later.
