Hi when i received my smarty sim i had to do a few things to my phone.
it was locked to EE. to unlock it enter *#06#
this will give you your IMEI number - FOR FREE!!! go to EE website https://ee.co.uk/exp/myee-web/device-unlock and enter this number.
the EE website will give you an unlock number. put your smarty sim into the phone and turn it on. the phone will ask you for the EE unlock number BUT....enter the last 8 digits first then 'unlock' button THEN the phone will ask you for the rest - enter the first 8 digits. and hit 'unlock'
hope this helps took me a couple of hours to work out. DONT PAY to unlock your phone its free!!!
also the default PUK for smarty sim is 0000
