My favourite Easter Egg? Well, it no longer exists and I never got a taste of it. I was in hospital as a child and at Easter a giant egg was delivered to the ward. It was magnificent, and the eight children in the ward communaly salivated. We all couldn't wait for Easter Sunday when it would be smashed and shared around among patients and staff.
Gasp!! I was dischaged on the Saturday evening. No egg for me.
Why is is my favorite? Because I wasn't as ill as the others, (some very ill) and the looks of anticipation and joy on their faces were priceless and unforgettable. Chocoalte rationing hadn't been long stopped. (And all the more for them, because my bed would be filled until Monday.)
