[Photography] Share your photos!

One of my favourite hobbies is taking pictures and I’m a big fan of film cameras but it can become an expensive hobby having to develop each roll of film and the process can seem a little archaic nowadays when the phone we carry around in our pockets every day doubles up as a professional quality camera.

Whilst that can be debated there’s no doubt that the advancements in mobile phone cameras have made the world of photography more accessible than ever. I don’t know about all of you, but when it comes time for me to buy a new phone, the first feature I look at is the camera—that is always the deciding factor for me when I’m in two minds about which model to go for. I currently have the iPhone 13 Pro Max which takes great pictures—from up close, crisp portraits to low light night photos.

I thought it would be fun for us to share some of our favourite pictures we’ve managed to capture on our phones—see below for some of mine. Don’t forget to mention what phone you used to take yours with!

Tascha  This is an interesting thread, and I was intrigued to hear you talking about film based photography.  I still have my old 35mm SLR and would love to use it again.  Is it still possible to get enlargements made from negatives by the old chemical based wet system, do you know, or are they all printed these days?

It's certainly still possible Xarq, although it's definitely a more specialist service these days! The good thing though is a lot of these specialist labs will take your film or negatives via the post so even if you don't live near anywhere that does this you can still get your prints.

There is always anxiety over sending your film through the post but I've not had any issues so far - touch wood!
