Going out of EU

Going outside the EU on holiday. My phone isn't compliant with e-sims unfortunately... have i got this right - That if i pay £15 for add on data, its £1 per megabyte - so its likely my data would get eaten up if i had google maps? Seems a bit extortionate tbh if thats the case

Thanks

ChrisLl_2494894 What you say does appear to be correct, depending upon what country you are visiting. The Prices for Roaming are in the Smarty Price Guide - yes, they are horrendous, but Smarty presumably has to pay the networks.

Travel Esims are the way to go. Is it possible that buying a modern phone could work out cheaper overall?
