Mobile SIM or Data Only SIM?
Was wondering if you could point me in the right direction. I use a data only SIM in my tablet to access the internet and a mobile SIM in my mobile, so I'm paying 2 bills and looking to save money. Can I upgrade my mobile SIM to unlimited data and use my mobile as a hotspot to allow the tablet to access the internet? This would let me cancel the data only SIM and save some money. I use the unlimited data only sim in a tablet, using it as a hot spot to get access to the internet for my computer as I don't have a BT phone line. But it is selectively very slow (128kb/s to 1.5mb/s) but when i go to a speed check website it happily reports an average 20mb/s . Is smarty throttling my internet access or is it Three? I see here on this forum it seems to be a common issue with Smarty but is put down to signal strength or the customers fault, but how does that explain a 20mb/s speed test and 128kb/s to 1.5mb/s while on Social Media, Video Streaming and my email? Love most about your current devices? I use a tablet, I love the large screen on it, easy to see when I'm on the go. Classic device would you like to see updated (if technology issues were no problem)? FM radio replaced with DAB radio, not an app, but built into the device. Future features would you like to see from mobile tech? For me it would be a less interactive experience, just basic email, satnav and a good camera.23KViews0likes0Comments
