VoLTE Calling - Moto G54 - phone compatibility before purchasing
Hi. I am looking to upgrade my ageing motorola moto g range phone and have settled on purchasing the Moto G54 5G. Is anyone currently using this phone on Smarty in UK and can confirm that VoLTE calling (4g calling) actually works with this device? I've had a look a three device support website and the phone isnt listed https://devicesupport.three.co.uk/ I've also had a look on the Three website and it isnt a device they offer as either PAYG or contract. I have received an email from Smarty about the 3g switch off and telling me that my phone will need to be upgraded, which is odd as my phone has 4g switched on in the settings, as follows. settings > network and internet > Mobile Network (Smarty) > Advanced > Preferred Network Type > 4g is selected. The phone is a Moto G6 and it is listed on the three website as volte compatible for calls in UK https://devicesupport.three.co.uk/guides/device/Motorola/XT1925MotoG6/specifications/ So, I'm a bit confused about all this. My phone should be OK but Smarty thinks it isnt, even though all the available evidence regarding checks ive made would suggest the phone will be ok. Hi, not planning on going anywhere just trying to get a complete answer regarding phones and 4g calling / VoLTE. Like you i can confirm that the phones you list have functionality for 4g calling / VoLTE however it also relies on the network switching it on for specific devices as well. Hi, I currently have the Moto G6 and looking to upgrade to a more recent offering G31, G32, G62 and it worries me that i'll "splash the cash" and then also end up with a phone that wont allow me to access 4g calling on the smarty network. i'm uncertain as to how it works but need to know more about device compatibility for 4g calling as apparently my current phone (motorola moto g6) isnt compatible so i;m planning on buying a more recent model but want to make sure that it will be compatible before i purchase.12KViews0likes2Comments4g calling / VoLTE
Hi, Recently moved to Smarty from Voda and very happy. I am interested in whether 4g calling is currently available or is planned for the future? If it is available now i wonder if their is a webpage on the smarty website that lists compatible phones?
